FRENCH PRESS BREWING GUIDE

THIS RECIPER IS FOR A RATIO OF  7 – 8 grams COFFEE BEAN FOR EVERY 100ml OF WATER

If you’re in the mood for a rich cup of joe, this nifty device has got you covered.

  • Requires 7-8g Coffee
  • Brew Time 4-5 Minutes
  • Serves 2 Cups

Ingredients

  • Roast Coffee Beans
  • Grinder
  • French Press
  • Digital scales
  • Timer
  • Kettle

Instructions

  1. Initially, check how much water fits in your French Press and round it out to the nearest 50ml.
  2. According to your personal taste, You can adjust the brew to be stronger or weaker.
  3. Weigh the amount of coffee you need for brewing.
  4. Grind the coffee beans to a French press grind.
  5. Boil the water in your kettle and leave it to rest for a minute.
  6. Put your French Press with the required amount of ground coffee on your scale.
  7. Slowly start pouring the hot water onto the grounds ensuring the coffee grounds are evenly wet.
  8. let the coffee steep for 4 minutes.
  9. After the 4 minutes, stir gently stir the coffee and water.
  10. Place the top plunger in and carefully press, avoiding compression of the coffee bed at the bottom.
  11. Pour the coffee into your cup and sip away!

Pro Tip

When you are stirring the coffee at the 4 minutes mark, you’ll find some foam and coffee grounds floating at the top. Use a spoon and try to skim this out. This will make your brew a little cleaner and sweeter.
